Where is the Best Place for Our Veterans to Live?
When it comes to taking care of our veterans in our country some places are better than others.
Saturday, November 11 is Veterans Day. It's a day dedicated to the men and women who sacrifice so much for you and I so that we can live in freedom. We are so blessed to live in the land of the free and it's because of the brave. I think we should honor and take care of these people every day, but for now the emphasis will remain on November 11.
Needless to say, thank a vet.
America could stand to thank our vets a little more, especially when it comes to re-entering civilian life. Often times our vets are forgotten or neglected. Despite efforts by many organizations, there's still work to be done as a nation. Some cities are better at taking care of these men and women than others.
According to WalletHub's recent study the best city for veterans is Austin, Texas. This was determined by looking at key factors like employment opportunities, livability, affordability and even access to mental-health treatment. The other cities rounding out the top five best cities for our vets are Colorado Springs, Colorado, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Plano, Texas.
