Who Could The Shreveport Voice of Alexa Be?

Yesterday Amazon announced that it has made Samuel L. Jackson the first available celebrity voice for its Alexa digital assistant.  If this is the first time you are hearing this, I know what your first question has to be: Does it use swear words?  The answer is Yes and no.  There are 2 different modes Mr. Jackson on Alexa: Explicit and family friendly.

If this becomes as popular as amazon expects, the plan is to roll out other celebrity voices in the very near future.  I am looking forward to James Earl Jones or Morgan Freeman as available assistants, because who wouldn't want Darth Vader or God to help them put together the grocery list.

Locally, I think we have a handful of voices that would be awesome for Alexa.  There's newly minted UT Professor and movie star extraordinaire Matthew McConaughey Who would always answer your demands with "Alright, alright, alright."  Even though he is technically out of the SBC, I think he makes a solid exception.

Jared Leto of Suicide Squad, Dallas Buyers Club, and a million other fantastic movies would be a good pick.

Terry Bradshaw could bring his "Terry-ness" right in to your living room.

And of course, we can't leave out Haughton's own world-famous, star quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys - Dak Prescott!

If you're a music buff, how about James Burton,

...or Hurricane Chris?
