Why Are People Writing Me Too on Their Facebook?
I woke up this morning and saw so many of my girlfriends write "Me Too" on their Facebook and Twitter. At this point I was scared to message any of them and ask them what they meant, if I get one more invitation to join your team after putting $500 down so I can make money from home I will lose it. However two of my friends who I am very close with wrote "Me Too". The hashtag #metoo started last night on twitter after actress Alyssa Milano had a suggestion from a friend who said "If all the women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote 'Me Too' as a status we might give people a sense of magnitude of the problem."
With the Harvey Wienstein scandal in the front of the public eye many women are coming out and telling their stories. Keith Urban's wife Nicole Kidman publicly supported women speaking out against domestic abuse and sexual abuse. You can read the story here.
