Raise Your Hand if You Accidentally Spent an Entire Day Watching "Chimp Crazy".

I am not a fan of binge-watching anything, I normally lose interest pretty quickly and the last time I binge-watched something was during the pandemic. Remember when "Tiger King" had us all in a chokehold? Unsurprisingly, the same director from "Tiger King", Eric Goode, has done it again, this time with Chimps.

Documentarian Eric Goode Partnered With HBO for a Show Thas Has America in a Chokehold.

"Chimp Crazy" is Goode's follow-up to "Tiger King" and this man has ruined us all. We must wait until Sunday nights for a new episode to drop. Has this documentary made us all obsessed with chimps? has been unfolding on HBO over the past couple of weeks. It centers on the fraught dynamic between exotic animal broker Tonia Haddix, the retired Hollywood chimp Tonka she claims to love more than her own children, and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the activist group which has pursued a lengthy legal effort to have the primate sent to an approved sanctuary.

According to HBO, "Former nurse-turned-exotic-animal-broker Tonia Haddix spends her days caring for animals in captivity, referring to herself as the "Dolly Parton of chimps." However, her limitless love for one chimpanzee spins into a wild cat-and-mouse game with authorities and an animal rights group. Through the experiences of Tonia and other "chimp moms," "Chimp Crazy" is a series that reveals the bonds between owners and their highly intelligent great ape pets, as well as the risks to the welfare of the animals themselves."

Chimp Haven a Local Chimp Sanctuary Has Come Out to Remind Us How Important it is to Prohibit the Ability to Privately Own a Chimp.

Chimp Haven took to their Facebook to say, "HBO's 'Chimp Crazy' highlights the urgent need to prohibit the private possession of chimps and other nonhuman primates. Here are just a few reasons why chimps don't make suitable pets."

We all are wondering, did any of the chimps that were seized during the filming of "Chimp Crazy" end up in Keithville, Louisiana? So far we have had no response from Chimp Haven. However, it is a valid question, right?
