Would You Let a Friend See a Concert Before You See It Together? [POLL]
You're all set to see _____ in concert this fall with your bestie, but they want to see the same show this weekend... without you.
There are bigger fish to fry in this world than when and where you see a show, but it's still a good question. Would you let your friend see a show before you see it together? Or better yet, would you let your spouse or a family member transgress you like this?
Let me give you some backstory.
I've got a group of girlfriends who will be headed to Las Vegas with me this fall to see Backstreet Boys because... DUH! Backstreet's back, alright?! We planned this trip earlier in the year and have since gotten pretty pumped about reliving our childhood screaming at the top of our lungs for our favorite boy band.
It was last week that one of us mentioned they had been invited to see the Backstreet Boys at a different location this summer. To protect her privacy, we will call her Helen. For what it's worth, Helen did ask us if it would be OK for her to go and witness a show that we are all supposed to see together prematurely. Of course, we are all mature adults and said it was completely fine for her to go.
We're actually going to gather Intel from her experience without us. You know, information on things like, what to wear, how early we should arrive to line up for pit pass access, how to get Brian's attention solely focused on me... The important things. She'll be our little spy.
Although we told her to go and enjoy, I know there are some people who would feel otherwise. It's the equivalent of someone binge-watching your favorite show before you can watch it together. So how would you handle it?
