Louisiana Fans Slam WWE After WrestleMania Is Replaced with Money in the Bank
In the world of pro-wrestling, WrestleMania is sometimes called the "Grandest Stage of Them All," and it's for good reason. So when fans in Louisiana caught wind of the fact WWE was planning to host WrestleMania 42 in New Orleans, they were excited. That excitement has crashed into a wall with WWE canceling WrestleMania 42 and replacing the Superdome show with Money In The Bank.
Louisiana's wrestling fans have been gutted by the cancellation, even if there's still a major WWE show coming in its place. Fans have been all but quiet about it online.
WrestleMania is the biggest show WWE puts on every year, and for decades, it has been the biggest wrestling spectacle in America. So it makes sense that Louisiana fans were excited about the prospect of WrestleMania in New Orleans, especially since the city has hosted the show twice before to amazing success.
WWE announced that WrestleMania 42 would be moved from New Orleans, leaving fans heartbroken. The new location has yet to be announced, but in place of WrestleMania, Louisiana will be treated to Money in The Bank (MITB).
MITB is a big deal in WWE and has been for over a decade now, but that doesn't make up for all of the fan disappointment. Fans from Louisiana shared a sentiment of confusion online because the city had been great for the event in the past, one fan online had this to say "Being from New Orleans, we have hosted every major event and then some and everytime we have shattered records and everyone leaves stating that whatever that event is, should be on a rotation with New Orleans!!"
