‘X-Files’ Season 11 Sets Lauren Ambrose and Robbie Amell’s Returns
The last X-Files revival seemingly introduced two Mulder and Scully-esque agents to carry the torch, so might Season 11 make the same effort? We’ll find out, as Season 10 stars Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose have also booked their return tickets.
TVLine reports that Flash star Amell and Six Feet Under alum Ambrose will be back for The X-Files’ second FOX revival in their role as FBI Agents Miller and Einstein. For the moment, it isn’t clear how many episodes the two will participate in, or if the appearance will spur talk of a spinoff, as it did the first time around.
Set for a midseason premiere and again favoring stand-alone episodes, the next X-Files run will see Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny aboard for the full ten, joined by returning veterans Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner and Annabeth Gish as Monica Reyes. Series creator Chris Carter will lead a writing team of former producers Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan and James Wong, along with newcomers and several female writers and directors.
We’ll likely hear more as production continues over the next few months, so stay tuned for the latest on The X-Files Season 11.
