We're going to have a huge Taylor Swift announcement Friday (5/8) at 7:30. The rumor floating around is, it involves front row seats and backstage passes. Now I've met more than my fair share of famous people, from Taylor Swift (during her Fearless tour) to Britney Spears and more. Here are some helpful tips to remember if you get to meet T-Swizzle.

Think about what you're going to say

These artists have things to do (mainly get on stage and do their show), so the best case scenario, you can ask one question or tell them one thing. Usually while they sign an autograph for you. Make it count.

Think about it like this ... when you were a kid and you were in line to see to see Santa Claus you did your homework. You knew exactly what you wanted for Christmas.

As weird as it sounds meeting a famous person in a meet and greet situation is no different.

Can't think of anything to say? Tell them "Thank you for coming to town, have a fun show tonight!"

Oh speaking of autographs, sometimes they have autographed pictures already done ahead of time (I guess while on the tour bus?). Other times they'll sign anything.

Pro tip: Bring something to be signed (not your ticket you'll lose that) and for extra credit bring a sharpie with you.

    Dress Appropriately

Lets turn back the hands of time. Britney Spears came to Shreveport while on her Circus tour. I got to go back stage to meet her, but was told I could NOT wear my shirt that had a K945 logo on it.

So I peeled that off and went to meet Brit Brit in my gross white t-shirt I was wearing underneath.

Lets chalk that one up to poor planning on my part.

Now I'm not saying wear your Sunday's finest, but put in some effort and planning.

    Breathe

I've seen people go complete fan girl crazy and forget how to breathe. They walk in and out in a daze and completely miss the magical moment of meeting that famous person they've longed to meet their 'whole lives'.

Just relax, these are normal folks just like you and me. They just happen to have an extremely cool job.

    Smile

I've met hundreds of artists and nothing is ever the same when it comes to pictures. Some are okay with using your personal cell phones, others have an official photographer and will tell you where to log on to get your picture.

There is one constant ... smile, pose, and never hover-hand, it looks more awkward than it feels.
