Have You Ever Heard of Louisiana Grandstand?

Louisiana Grandstand is changing the music scene in Shreveport-Bossier. Up until I experienced a concert at Louisiana Grandstand I had no idea that this building that was built in 1925 had been a music venue. There is so much musical history in this building.

If You Want to Experience an Intimate Concert This Is the Best Spot.

It is an intimate experience and truly one of the best concerts I have seen in Shreveport-Bossier. My friend even agreed that it was incredible this venue felt like we had traveled back in time with the intimate concert venue and easy access to the performers.

"The Louisiana Grandstand theater holds boasting rights alongside the famous Strand Theater in downtown as the two oldest theaters in current day Shreveport/Bossier. The venue has hosted lectures and performances by historical figures like Robert Frost, Katharine Hepburn and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Today, the theater sits in almost pristine condition with an excellent space for an elevated - but intimate - musical and performance experience."

Now Louisiana Grandstand is Doing Something Epic for Country Christmas Fans.

Shreveport's very own Dan Smalley is coming back to town for "A Country Christmas to Remember" to the Louisiana Grandstand. He said “I’m so excited Shreveport finally has the venue we’ve all dreamed of. The Louisiana Grandstand is the beginning of something bigger than all of us and I’m here for it.”

Dan has invited his friends, some of Louisiana & Texas' best musicians, to join him on stage to play a night of his favorite Christmas tunes and also his favorite songs. This is supposed to be an epic holiday show you won't want to miss.

If you want to take your kids this is just about one of the few concerts where you can, because Santa will be there too. People are encouraged to bring toys or canned food items. Louisiana Grandstand teamed up with the Woman's Department Club to collect toys for the Shreveport Fire Dept's annual toy drive, and canned goods for the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank.

The very merry event takes over on Friday, December 15th at 6:00 pm at 802 Margaret Place in Shreveport. You can buy your tickets by clicking here.
