Everyone is a little obsessed with Avicii‘s ‘Wake Me Up,’ and this cool Mariachi-style cover of the hit song — sung in Spanish, no less — helps show why it’s so popular: it sounds great in any language!
Postmodern Jukebox, led by musician Scott Bradlee and singer Robyn Adele Anderson, were joined by Mariachi Fiesta del Norte for this fun en espanol version.
As usual, the group amazes with both their musical talent and unique takes on popular songs. Postmodern Jukebox has covered everyone from Carly Rae Jepsen to Lorde. It’s gotten to the point where we can’t wait for their next upload — something the band has acknowledged with the creation of a Patreon page (think: Kickstarter for bands), which lets fans of the group donate $1 or more to help fund new instruments and travel expenses for their guest musicians.
The band has already met several of its goals, including some funding for a tour (!). Here’s hoping they visit Louisiana.
