Avril Lavigne's new video for "Hello Kitty" debuted this week, earned instant criticism and was pulled from YouTube. The video is back now, and Lavigne herself is having a big laugh at the suggestion it's racist.

tweeted a couple messages addressing the video's backlash. Obviously, the Canadian-born pop star isn't taking the criticism to heart.

She also tweeted out the video, which is back on YouTube after vanishing earlier this week, to her 15+ million Twitter followers.

As of the publishing of this article, the YouTube video does have way more likes than dislikes, supporting the argument that the backlash isn't as widespread as the Internet would have people believe.
