TV icon Betty White had to turn down an invitation to November's Marine Corps Ball due to work commitments.White is only the latest celebrity to receive an invite to a military event, but unlike "Friends With Benefits" stars Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, she sadly declined.

In a statement to Marine Sgt. Ray Lewis, the 89-year-old entertainer said,  "I am deeply flattered and truly appreciate the invitation. As everyone knows, I love a man in uniform ... but unfortunately I cannot accept, as I will be taping an episode of (TV show) 'Hot in Cleveland.'"
