I'm so glad you asked! If you plan on driving this weekend in Bossier Parish and want to keep your insanity intact, you'll definitely want to take note of this. Starting Friday, July 14, 2023, at around 6 am, the Louisiana DOTD will be closing the right-hand lane of I-20 just before exit 33 which is the Haughton/Fillmore exit to LA 157. The right-hand eastbound lane will remain closed all weekend long through Monday, July 17, 2023, at around 5 am. Officials say that the exit will remain open.

Yes, if you use LA 157 between Haughton and Benton, LA, you'll want to find another route. Beginning Friday, July 14, 2023, at around 8:30 am, Louisiana DOTD will be closing the bridge on LA 157 over Bodcau Bayou for piling repair. The bridge will remain closed through Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at approximately 3:30 pm. If you're trying to mentally place where that bridge is, it's just over 3 miles east of LA 162. Vehicles can detour using US 371 and LA 528.

Just remember, while road construction can be a pain, it's necessary!
