And you thought your friends and co-workers were going overboard with their constant monitoring of Facebook and Twitter when news broke that Kate Middleton was in labor!

Women in the UK took their love of Kate (or Catherine) Middleton one step further by donning Kate Middleton masks and wearing them outside the hospital she checked in at to deliver the royal baby this week.

Some of the women also stuffed things under their clothes to create a faux baby bump and held their bellies in a show of feminine solidarity to the Duchess of Cambridge.

Middleton gave birth to a baby boy on Monday, July 22 at St. Mary's Hospital in London. The new mom and her husband, Prince William, have yet to pick out a name for the royal baby.

We don't recall seeing this sort of public hoopla when Kim Kardashian spawned Kanye West's child last month. In America, we save that sort of thing for Twitter.
