Bruno Mars Is the Most Illegally Downloaded Artist of 2013

The New York Times reports that Bruno Mars’ music was illegally downloaded more than any other artist in 2013.

A study by Musicmetric had Mars leading 20 artists whose music has been illegally downloaded a total of 64.5 million times in 2013.

Rihanna came in a close second behind Mars’ 5.8 million downloads with 5.4 million, followed by Daft Punk with 4.2 million and Justin Timberlake with 3.9 million.

In happier news, Mars is set to perform at the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show Feb. 2.
