Tuesday was Bradley Cooper's last day as People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive", and he says he spent it with friends who feel his pain.

During an appearance on the "Today Show", Cooper half-jokingly told host Matt Lauer that he and past SMA's "decompress" in a small Midwestern suburb and tackle their issues with being hot guys.

"I think it was instituted back with [George] Clooney, but there's a whole decompression you go through," Cooper told Lauer.

"Somehow, I don't think its you alone in this room," said Lauer, prompting Cooper to reply, "I think Matt Damon runs it now."

This year's Sexiest Man Alive will be announced Wednesday.
