DIY Pumpkin Seeds
I have been obsessed with the idea of going to a pumpkin patch and carving my own pumpkin. Things like that really help me get into the spirit of Halloween. With the help of Carter's wife, Drew, Tucker and I found our pumpkins. We got home and immediately started carving those suckers.
One thing that my mom used to do was roast the pumpkin seeds when we scraped out all the guts from the pumpkin.
Here is how you can roast your pumpkin seeds:
First you have to gut the pumpkin!
Then separate the gooey yuck yuck from the seeds.
Next you have to boil the evil from the seeds. You will use 2 cups of water and a tablespoon of salt for every half cup of seeds. Once at a boil, simmer for 10 minutes then drain.
After draining, you will prepare a pan that has been glazed with olive oil. Coat the bottom of the pan and lay out the seeds. Then bake those seeds for 10-20 minutes at 400.
Then feast upon the inards of your pumpkin!
