If you love shows like Cake Boss, you will need to make plans to attend the 3rd annual Quota Club Icing on the Cake competition. The competition returns to BPCC on July 21, 2012 with a full day of classes, food and cake decorating by amateurs and professionals alike. This year's theme is "Southern Charm." I wonder if someone will try and do the armadillo cake from Steel Magnolias? That would rock... Although, I can't talk... My father-in-law had a deer head as his groom's cake and Keith had an LSU themed cake at our wedding:) One thing I can tell you for sure, as a past member of the Quota Club of Shreveport, this is a fun group of ladies and a good time WILL be had! They do amazing things in our community, including providing major support of the Deaf Action Center.

You have plenty of time to enter in the competition to show off your cake decorating skills. Your first entry is only $15 and you have until July 13, 2012 to get in the competition.
