“Hotel Transylvania” Scores Big

The animated kid flick “Hotel Transylvania” shattered box office records this weekend with a $43 million haul in its first week in theaters.

Another debut, “Looper”, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis, came in second with $21.2 million, and last week’s No. 1, “End of Watch”, rounded out the top three with $8 million.
