Is LSU Really the Home of the Barden Bellas from ‘Pitch Perfect?’
Is Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA the true home of the Barden Bellas from the movie, Pitch Perfect?
I remember several years ago seeing an Instagram of Rebel Wilson aka Fat Amy in an LSU shirt rehearsing and then hearing that part of Pitch Perfect 2 was filmed in Baton Rouge back in 2014, but didn't pay much attention. I mean, I may have heard it before, but I've slept since then. But if you're like me after watching this, you'll want to go back and watch both the original Pitch Perfect and the sequel to see if you can spy any familiar landmarks. Check it out!

How in the world did I miss that? I've played frisbee in the Horseshoe! The Greek Theater? Been there. The Fieldhouse? Same. I must have had my head in the sand, but judging from the comments, people who actually went to LSU didn't know the movie was filmed there so I don't feel quite so bad. Just in case you wanted to see Rebel rocking the purple and gold I mentioned earlier, here it is!
I am a huge Pitch Perfect fan and adore Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick. If you're paying attention to the dates, Rebel's LSU-clad video was posted in 2020. So maybe they were prepping to film another installment in the franchise? Which begs the question, when did Rebel Wilson become an LSU fan? Did she fall for our Tigers while staying in Baton Rouge or did she already have an affinity for the purple and gold? Either way, we love that she's repping our team. Geaux Tigers!
