Jennifer Lopez is gearing up to release her 10th studio album and is receiving the Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards. She has also set a record in the process.

Jennifer Lopez will released her 10th album A.K.A. on June 17. The title came from the idea that Lopez is "also known as" J-Lo. The album promises an assortment of musical genres that have impacted her life. She has already released one single from the album called "I Luh Ya Papi" and debuted the second single, "First Love", last week.

Before the album comes out, Lopez will be honored on May 18 at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards with the Icon Award. She is the first woman to receive the award, which was established four years ago. The other artists to receive the award are Prince, Stevie Wonder and Neil Diamond.

Lopez is scheduled to perform with Pitbull the night of the awards. The two will debut "We Are One (Ole Ola)", the official anthem for this year's FIFA World Cup. She will also perform "First Love."

The Billboard Music Awards will air live from Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena May 18 on ABC.
