Katy Perry’s parents benefit from her divorce

Katy Perry’s religious parents are seeing the bright side of her divorce. Their evangelical church is thriving with new fans ever since Russell Brand announced his plan to divorce their daughter after 14-months of marriage. Pastors Keith and Mary Hudson said during their sermon that this divorce was ‘a gift sent by God’ to help them fill the churches. Mary said, ‘I’m sure that Katy’s trending on the Internet was to get you here to church. Who knows how God is bringing them in all over the world, but the important thing is that you here and God wants to put the fire back in you in 2012. ‘

When the couple wasn’t taking advantage of their new found fame, Pastor Keith made some anti-Semitic comments. He preached, 'You know how to make the Jew jealous? Have some money, honey. You go to LA and they own all the Rolex and diamond places. Walk down a part of LA where we live and it is so rich it smells. You ever smell rich? They are all Jews, hallelujah. Amen.'

Katy has spoken out for her first time since the divorce announcement.She tweeted, ‘Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me.  Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family.’
