Despite non-stop legal issues and a recent car crash, Lindsay Lohan keeps getting film roles.Producer Brandon Pope says the starlet has been cast in "The Canyons", from "Less Than Zero" author Bret Easton Ellis and directed by Paul Schrader. The film revolves around a group of twentysomethings living in Los Angeles.

Lohan's publicist, Steve Honig, confirmed that Lohan has indeed been cast in the film and that she has been on set since last week, adding, "A big part of the reason she did this was because of Paul Schrader and the opportunity to work with such an iconic filmmaker." Schrader wrote "Taxi Driver" and directed "American Gigolo".

Lohan recently wrapped production on the Lifetime movie "Liz and Dick", during which time she was involved in a car accident where she crashed her Porsche into a dump truck on a Los Angeles freeway. No charges have been filed as of yet.
