Louisiana Film Prize kicks off Thursday October 5th and runs until the 8th in Downtown Shreveport. The Film Prize includes 20 teams from across the country that have come to NW Louisiana to compete in the country’s largest short film festival. The winning team from fan votes will get $50,000 for their film.

We had the Directors from the film Death Day stop by the studio to talk about their film and the Louisiana Film Prize. This will be the Shreveport natives first time competing in the contest which kicks off the movie part this Thursday. Their film is a unique concept where people receive a text message with the date of their death but they don't know the year.

Prize Fest kicks off Wednesday with Food, Music & Movies and you can check out the week's full schedule and times by clicking HERE!
