Matt Damon Says He’s Returning To The ‘Bourne’ Franchise

During a celebration of season four of their project "Project Greenlight", Ben Affleck spilled to E! News that friend and collaborator Matt Damon will be reprising his role as Jason Bourne in the next installment of the "Bourne" franchise.

"Well, [Damon's] going to be doing a Bourne movie next fall when I've just completely lost any semblance of physical fitness. So….," Affleck said to E! News.

When asked for clarification, Damon said, "It'll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. [Director] Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that's all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes."

This will make it the third "Bourne" movie to star Damon in the title role, the last two of which starred Jeremy Renner.
