The answer is... Monjuni's! Yes, we love Monjuni's Italian Cafe and if the ambiance at the new location is anything like their Louisiana Avenue location in Shreveport, it's sure to be a hit! Yes, we know there are other Monjuni's locations in our area on Airline Drive in Bossier City and Youree Drive in Shreveport. You also have the Silver Star/Monjuni's/Buttercups all in one location on North Market in Shreveport... but there's just something about the decor at the Louisiana Avenue location that's special.

If you're looking for some recommendations to try, I love their Cajun Shrimp Toast and the Shrimp Aurora will haunt you it's so good! Of course, you can't go wrong with the Toasted Ravioli and if you're more adventurous, try the Eggplant Spears:)

I've seen workers cleaning up the area around the former King Jerry Lawler's BBQ restaurant on HWY 3/Benton Road for the last week or so and they already have their hours of operation listed on the front door, so I can't imagine that their opening is too far off. The first sign went up on December 29, 2023, so they're moving fast.

In other Benton news, I hear they're doing something in the old Southern Maid building next to Sam's on HWY 3/Benton Road and it's rumored to be a sandwich shop. All in all, big things are happening in Benton!
