North LA Parents Enraged After Alleged Strip Search At School

Melinda Ponder of Colombia Louisiana is furious.  If I was in charge of Caldwell Parish School Board, I would be furious and terrified right now.

According to ABC News - Melinda says her daughter (just 15 years old) was forced to strip down to her bra and panties in a classroom at Caldwell High School, while boys were taken to a bathroom and told to drop their pants.  Both the School Board and the Sheriff's office are conducting investigations right this moment.

The part that makes me just crazy with rage is: not only were parents not notified, THEY WEREN'T EVEN TOLD THAT IT HAPPENED!  When I read that part of the story, all I could picture was it happening to my son.  I was this close to Hulking out.  I can not imagine me reacting in a civil or even lawful way if Deacon told me he was strip searched at school.

What were officials searching these kids for (not that anything really justifies it)?  Was it guns, drugs, answers to a test? Another student reported a loss of 42 dollars.  Rights were violated, children were embarrassed at school, common decency was completely overlooked - all for just 42 dollars.
