Injuries have plagued the New Orleans Saints franchise for the last few seasons, especially on the defensive side of the ball. But this season appears to be getting off on the right foot.

Heading into the season opener on Sunday, the Saints appear to have only one player who will miss time for the Black and Gold. Here's the inside look from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"The Saints head into Sunday’s season opener against Oakland a relatively healthy team. Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe is the the only player who has been ruled out with a hip injury. And he won’t admit, but this is a big game for Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. He was the head coach of the Raiders from 2012 to 2014."
