Kelly Clarkson is without a doubt one of the most amazing voices to hit pop music in years. She is known for her smash hits as an artist including ‘Since U Been Gone,’ ‘Breakaway,’ ‘Never Again,’ ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ and ‘Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You),’ among others, but she is just as well known for her duets with superstars like Reba McEntire (‘Because of You’) and Jason Aldean (‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’) by country music fans — and now she’s making a name for herself with her awesome live covers.
Skylar Laine brought honky-tonk to ‘American Idol‘ tonight with a fiery version of Face’s ‘Stay With Me.’ The song, originally written by Rod Stewart, perfectly fit Skylar’s country twang. She received universal praise from the judges for her exciting performance.
The 2012 Grammy Awards were chock full of amazing performances, with Bruno Mars opening the show with a vivacious, dance-filled performance of his song ‘Runaway.’ Alicia Keys paid homage to the late Etta James, while fellow soulful diva Jennifer Hudson gave an outstanding tribute performance to Whitney Houston, who died just one night before the 2012 Grammys. Adele made her comeback with a rousing performance of ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ while Chris Brown was also welcomed back with open arms after performing ‘Turn Up the Music’ and ‘Beautiful People.’
Fresh off last week’s major performance of the national anthem at the Super Bowl, Kelly Clarkson was back in the Sunday night spotlight for another major performance! Tonight (Feb. 12), the ‘Mr. Know It All’ singer teamed up with her friend, country crooner Jason Aldean, for a live rendition of their hit ballad ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’ at the 2012 Grammy Awards.
