Phillip Lomax Covers a Rihanna Song in Front of Rihanna Herself on ‘X Factor’ [VIDEO]

It couldn’t have been easy for any of the remaining ‘X Factor’ contestants as they sang their hearts out for a spot in the top 16 last night.

But Phillip Lomax arguably had the toughest job of all when he was asked to sing Rihanna‘s song ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ in front of judge L.A. Reid and Rihanna herself.

The song, which was picked by Reid, seems like an odd choice given that Lomax is a Frank Sinatra-like crooner. Wisely, Lomax sang the second half the song in a more traditional fashion.

What do you think? Was Lomax’s performance a hit or a miss?
