The DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office has shut down a pot-growing operation at a Mansfield home.

A school resource officer smelled what he believed to be marijuana coming from the backpacks of two juveniles who live at a home in the 5000 block of Highway 191 in Mansfield. DPSO detectives contacted the SRO deputy and verified the juveniles' addresses. So they went to the home to talk to the resident. No one answered.

The next day, they went back, and 32-year-old Jon Ryan Temple answered the door and let them in. They searched the place and found about five pounds of high-grade marijuana, a half-pound of hashish, lidocaine with no prescription and 18 marijuana plants growing inside the residence. Detectives also located drug paraphernalia and four growing stations complete with UV lighting, heat lamps, ventilation system, and a watering system with a rain water collection system.

Temple was booked into the DeSoto Parish Detention Center on numerous drug charges. Take a look at the photos from the DPSO:
