Rihanna landed the May cover of ELLE, looking all sultry in a yellow, studded suit and eyebrow-skimming bangs as part of a shaggy blond cut. That hairstyle is so mysterious, since the bangs conceal her eyes a little bit, making her even more sexy and distant. That stare isn’t doing much to take the temperature down, either. It’s like she sees right through us!

While Ri is fond of shedding layers, she dresses up here — for the most part — and the result is just the same. There is a shot of her in a bra and underthings inside, so she doesn’t abandon her preferred method of dressing, which is showing SOME skin.

Since Rihanna is an Emporio Armani spokesmodel, she’s wearing one of the line’s dresses in the spread. It’s the strapless white one with piping, where she’s leaning on the car. We are also in love with the Bonnie and Clyde-like shots of her in a vehicle with a guy. They look like rebels and outlaws.

We think Ri looks just as hot when she covers up as when she sheds attire.

In the feature, the ‘We Found Love’ singer talks about finding her way back to her ex Chris Brown, in a professional sense. It made her stronger and bolder to just do it, regardless of the aftermath and public disdain for the move. She said, “It gave me guns. I was like, well, f—. They know more about me than I want them to know. It’s embarrassing. But that was my opening. That was my liberation, my moment of bring it. […] Now you know that, so you can say what you want about it. I don’t have anything to hide.”

She also recognizes that people are not happy that the pair reconciled in that sense, saying, “The bottom line is that everyone thinks differently. It’s very hard for me to accept, but I get it. People end up wasting their time on the blogs or whatever, ranting away, and that’s all right. Because tomorrow I’m still going to be the same person. I’m still going to do what I want to do.”

Ri, we applaud you for that brilliant attitude regarding the haters.

The singer also spoke about having kids, saying that it could happen at any time. “It could be tomorrow. It could be 20 years from now,” she said. “I just feel like when the time is right, God will send me a little angel. But first, of course, I have to find a man. I mean, there’s a very important missing piece to the puzzle here!”

Funny that she mentions needing a man, since she revealed that she’s not getting’ any on ‘Ellen’ a few months back. She says there is “a major drought out there” and that she needs a man who can “balance me out, because then things like my schedule won’t matter. I’ve done it before, so I know I can do it again.”

The Rihanna issue of ELLE lands April 17.
