Sam Smith Recovering for Surgery, Using App to Help Him Speak

Sam Smith is recovering nicely from his surgery however, he can't speak whatsoever.

Sam Smith has gone Stephen Hawking on us! After undergoing vocal cord surgery last week, the "Lay Me Down" crooner is in the recovery phase. His producer, Jimmy Napes, told BBC that Sam is using an app to help him speak.

"He's got an app that speaks for him and it's like Stephen Hawking, where you type something in, except it's in a girl's voice, which is hilarious," Jimmy joked.

Sam is expected to make a full recovery and be back making women swoon in no time.
