SCAM ALERT! WATCH YOUR BANK CARDS!

Crime has gotten quite sophisticated!  Shreveport police are warning citizens to be extra cautious when making purchases in the SBC, due to a rise in the number of reported cases of unauthorized bank card purchases.  Officials suspect "Skimmers" are likely the culprit.

Card skimmers are the ninjas of electronic theft.  They have to be stealthy enough to fool you into sticking your card right in to them. How?  By looking almost exactly like the regular, non-felonious slot.

This is a picture of a tiny electronic thief disguised as a regular old ATM card slot.  Look at this thing and tell me if you would notice it right off the bat.  Hopefully, you will give everything a second look from now on.  If ANYTHING looks even slightly fishy - move on and contact the authorities pronto!

With thieves getting this smart, we all have to work with local police to catch these Lex Luthor wannabees.
