Following the success of the Red River Entertainment District Pop UP, the Central Business Pop UPs gear up for their debut this month.

The concept of Pop UP businesses was conceived by the Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation, Citizens National Bank, Downtown Development Authority and Committee of One Hundred. The idea is to allow business owners to "test drive" a location in Shreveport.

12 businesses moved into the Red River Entertainment District for a two-week stint in May. Each brought something new to the table such as food, 3D printing, custom jewelry, photography, clothing, etc.

Pop UP 2 will be held in the Central Business District, beginning September 22-October 3. The application deadline has passed and now businesses will prepare to move in.

Two more Pop UPs will occur before the end of the year. Shreveport Common will host Pop UP 3 November 3-8 to coincide with the Texas Avenue Markets Fair. The Red River District will host Pop UP 4 November 17-December 31 as a part of their Holiday Market.

Applications are currently being accepted for Pop UP 3. The deadline is October 13 at noon.
