When the 49ers' drafted Shreveport's Trent Taylor, they knew they were getting a true playmaker. Here's his first NFL touchdown!

Trent is certainly not new to the spotlight. During his time in Shreveport, he was a standout star at Evangel Christian Academy, dominating both sides of the ball. After high school, he only received one scholarship offer, so he took his talents east to Louisiana Tech in Ruston. There, his talents only grew, playing all four years for the Bulldogs and ending his senior season leading the entire country in receiving yards.

Given that he's about 5'8 and doesn't possess what scouts would call "elite speed", many didn't expect Trent to get drafted at all. Of course, the San Francisco 49ers saw something in him and selected him in the 5th round. Within no time, he was turning heads in San Fran, and locked up the starting slot receiver/punt returner job ahead of the season opener.

It took him three games, but he finally got into the endzone this week against the Los Angeles Rams. In a key-play for the 49ers, quarterback Brian Hoyer trusted Trent at the goal line to make a play, and boy did he make it look easy.

Check out our boy Trent Taylor making his first of many touchdowns in the NFL!
