Believe it or not, but week 6 of High School Football is here. Many teams move into district play this week and several are still undefeated. I was 11-2 with my picks last week. Only Evangel and North Desoto disappointed me!

The C.E. Byrd family knows what a big game this is going to be. In fact, all of Shreveport Bossier and North Louisiana knows how big this game is. West Monroe comes to town to take on the Yellow Jackets.
I was pouring over the list of High School games for this year and tried to find some of the biggest rivalries on the schedule. I pared the list to about 20 key matchups and them pared that down to these five HUGE games.
While Down syndrome student Brett Bowden rarely got on the field, he was popular member of Hobbton High School’s football team due to his enthusiasm and positive attitude.
Everybody expected Bowden to be on the team again for the 2011 season, but, in a controversial decision, the state of North Carolina has ruled him ineligible.
