This is one party we wish we didn’t miss. Jack Daniel’s enthusiast Kesha met up with none other than cannabis aficionado Snoop Dogg. Can you imagine the conversations these two probably had?
Kesha is a complex character. She balances her party girl image and glitter guns with rampant animal activism, which is one of the reasons we adore her. The ‘Tik Tok’ songstress took to Twitter to address rumors of her using acid in the studio with the Flaming Lips, show off yet another wild new hair style and to promote a ban on shark finning.
Kesha is proving there’s more to her than bizarre haircuts and whiskey-soaked toothbrushes. The singer, long known for her animal activism, is speaking out against the Canadian seal hunt in a new video.
Kesha issued a heartfelt tweet about the death of Whitney Houston this afternoon. She posted: “i cannot even believe it. RIP Whitney. my love goes out to family+friends+her mourning fans. #speechless.” Simple enough, right? A reaction that mimicked the rest of the pop music universe, yes? No, not really.
What do you get when you mix a squeaky clean teen idol with a self-proclaimed “filthy” party girl? A duet, apparently. Justin Bieber and Kesha will collaborate on a track for Bieber’s new album, ‘Believe.’
Kesha became famous for her AutoTuned party anthems, but the beard enthusiast loves rock ‘n’ roll — and has a plan to save it.
“I feel like I don’t necessarily agree, but people say that rock and roll is dead, and it is my mission and my goal to resurrect it in the form of my pop music,” Kesha told MTV News. “That’s the goal. We’ll see what happens. That’s a very ambitious and lofty goal, but that’s my goal.”
Kesha has a well-known love of beards (she even says so at the end of her hit ‘Your Love Is My Drug’), and she’s not afraid to show it. The ‘Sleazy‘ songstress started a tumblr called ‘Put Your Beard In My Mouth‘ … And it’s about exactly what it sounds like.
Kesha might create fun-filled, boozy party jams, but she is quite serious when it comes to the safety and compassionate treatment of animals. In the past, Kesha has defended baby seals against the horrific practice of clubbing and she has also been outspoken about wearing faux fur instead of the real thing. The singer’s latest animal awareness PSA comes from Human Society International and addresses the cruelty towards stray dogs.
