I first met Lauren when she was vying for the crown of Miss Louisiana last year when she won 4th Runner Up... Turns out the second try is a charm as Lauren Vizza captures the title of Miss Louisiana!

Of course, we send our congratulations out to all of the Miss Louisiana contestants. After all, just to be there is a huge honor! I, for one, have always held the belief that the reason Miss America is generally from the South, is that Southern girls have a certain je ne sais quoi. It's an 'it' factor... and the contestants this year had it in spades!

Last week, I told you about meeting Lauren Vizza. Lauren is from Shreveport and reigns as Miss Monroe and and she's at the Miss Louisiana competition as we speak!
