After yesterday’s Opening Ceremony, the 2012 Summer Olympics had its first full day of competition on Saturday.

The Summer Olympics begin this weekend in London. For more than a century, the modern Olympic games have provided a global stage for athletes to deliver unforgettable moments of competition, courage and compassion.

It looks like user submitted cover videos of everyone’s favorite songs is the way to get famous nowadays. Sex tapes are soooo passe. Michael Phelps is still a complete hunk. Just because an arguably hotter and newer Olympic swimmer came forward into the spotlight (we’re referring to Ryan Lochte, of course), doesn’t mean that Phelps’ perfect swimmer’s body vanished. In fact, he wants to remind us all that he’s still hot stuff by posing shirtless for the latest Details magazine cover.

Matt Lauer’s wife wants to ensure that he doesn’t do a repeat of the last Olympics… The last time Matt went to the Olympics, he hooked up with his coworker Natalie Morales and she ended up having his love child. While nothing has been confirmed, controversy is already surrounding the event due to news of both the opening and closing ceremony musical performances

Wait a minute, we'll pull softball out of the Olympics but consider pole dancing. Really? Vertical Dance, a British pole-dancing company, is petitioning the International Olympic Committee to get their sport recognized as a test event for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
