The Revenant, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, topped this weekend's box office in its fifth week of release with an estimated $16 million on a weekend where snowstorms in some parts of the country forced many moviegoers to stay indoors.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens dropped from the No. 1 spot at the box office this weekend, knocked out by the comedy sequel Ride Along 2, which took in an estimated $34 million while The Revenant held on to second place with $29.5 million.
