We know, we just rewrote the lyrics to The Wanted’s smash hit ‘Glad You Came’ but it’s within in reason and we don’t mean stripped down in that way. We’re not that kinda site. The British boy band performed ‘Glad You Came’ and a cover of Goo Goo Dolls’ mega hit ballad ‘Iris’ acoustically for Slacker Radio in San Diego, Calif.

It’s the battle of the British Boy bands and their bone of contention is Justin Bieber!

British boy band the Wanted have signed on to help out with the lighting ceremony of the famed torch this July to start the highly-anticipated London Summer Olympic games that so many look forward to every year.

Brace yourself, ladies. The Wanted will be making a special appearance on ‘American Idol‘ next week, the band confirmed on their official Twitter page.

The Wanted performed at MTV’s Spring Break 2012 concert on Thursday, causing so much fan-demonium during their last song that production had to shut down the stage for 25 minutes.

David and Victoria Beckham’s son, Brooklyn, is likely predisposed to having musical talents, but for extra insurance, the star couple has been gifted a few guitar lessons from the Wanted‘s Tom Parker.

Drumroll, please. The Wanted, you know, that “other” British boy band that isn’t the blazing hot and newsmaking One Direction, have announced the title of their upcoming release.

The Wanted have been on a hot streak lately, conquering South America with Justin Bieber and setting hearts aflutter during their recent American media tour. And they aren’t finished yet — in fact, they’ll get a boost from ‘Glee‘ this season.
