The Next Disney Princess Could Be LGBTQ

The idea that the next Disney princess could be LGBTQ has been around since last summer when a petition was started and began trending on social media with the #GiveEslaAGirlfriend hashtag. The idea was for Elsa to have a girlfriend in the next Frozen movie.

Ron Clements and John Musker the directors of Moana and The Princess and the Frog have been asked if they would be interested in taking on the new role and they've responded by saying “It seems like the possibilities are pretty open at this point.”. 

Disney pushed the idea even more recently after being asked about the possibility of their next Princess being LGBTQ stating that their “stories reflect acceptance and tolerance and celebrate the differences that make our characters uniquely wonderful in their own way.”
