Thunder Road Raceway Presents Back to School Bash, Arklatex Drift

Thunder Road Raceway is ready to celebrate the start of the school year with a back-to-school bash featuring Arklatex Drift.

It's racing time in Northwest Louisiana!

Thunder Road Raceway is hosting Arklatex Drift at the racetrack in Gilliam for a back-to-school bash. The fun is on Saturday, August 23. The gates will open at 5 p.m. Tickets for all spectators is $10, but all children 10 and under will receive free admission.

Drifting is different from normal racing. It is a high-skill, high-powered motorsport that challenges the driver to control the car at high speeds as it slides sideways through a marked course. It is similar to rally racing however, the course is closed and judged on execution and style. It is not about who finishes first.
