I am sure you are well aware of the scandal behind Baylor. You know, the one where multiple rape victims are claiming that the school mishandled reports of them getting raped. Yeah, that scandal. Oh! And the one where Baylor football players were involved.

Since this has been under investigation this has caused the firing of the football coach, Art Briles, and the Baylor Present Ken Starr to step down from his position, according to Fox News.

Earlier this month, a lawsuit that claimed two football players gang raped a woman has been settled. Business Insider covered the story. They state that this lawsuit is just "one of several in recent weeks". Referring to the multiple of cases coming out about sexual and physical assault that Baylor has had reports on in the past.

However, there is one thing that has me scratching my head- Upon investigating files under the former President of Baylor, Ken Starr, an email with choice words has found its way to the public.

According to Fox Sports, the email that former President of Baylor, Ken Starr, says that ”these young women made themselves willing victims of sexual assault” and ”would then immediately find relevance in `God’s wrath’ upon them.”

I had no idea what to say when I read quotes from Starr's email. I was truly set back and unprepared. So I did what I do best. I turned to google which led me to the WAVAW, Women Against Violence Against Women. They specialize in helping women and standing with them against rape culture.

I refuse to cast judgement on this man who foolishly casted judgement on these women. I don't know these women. I don't know their individual stories and reports. However, I will not judge them or cast blame. I choose to stand aside them even though others clearly don't.

If you have been a victim of sexual assault and you feel alone- I don't want you to read the words that Starr says. I ask that you seek help and to never be afraid to do so. There are people in this world who will turn against you, but there will be others who will take a stand along side of you. If you have been a victim of sexual assault and you feel alone I have listed a 24 hours toll-free crisis line for the Rape Crisis Centre. (604)-255-6344 1-(877)-392-7583
