In case you missed it, NASA announced today that we do indeed have another moon.

That's right, our night-time buddy has a partner-in-crime. Granted, this moon is quite small, and not visible at all, but it is now our second moon and it should be treated with respect!

NASA claims a tiny asteroid has earned the recognition as Earth’s new “mini moon.” Measuring between 120 feet to 300 feet in diameter, this little sucker circles the sun on a similar orbit as Earth and NASA scientists now reveal that it circles Earth as well – not entirely unlike the moon we all know and love.

NASA has dubbed our new moon, "Asteroid 2016 HO3", a name that doesn't even come close as a respectable name for our newest leader of the night.

So I want to give you the opportunity to vote on it's unofficial new name! Of course, this name will never be recognized as the new moon's real name, but maybe if someone votes for "Moony McMoonface", we can go viral. at us to it.

Anyways, the name that receives the most votes will be our new moon's new name, which I declare every Shreveport citizen will call it by it's chosen name after voting ends.

Since PollDaddy is a pain in my you-know-what, it won't allow you to add your own name instantly, so I ask for the next 24 hours that you submit your choice using the "Other" option, then I will add everyone's submission to the poll tomorrow night.

May the best name win!
