Mustachioed anchorman Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) dropped by ‘Conan‘ on Wednesday night to make a surprise announcement regarding a sequel to the movie ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.’ And, true to form, Burgundy played a mean jazz flute while doing so.

“I like to keep my chops up. Jam with the cats here,” he said, motioning to the band after his extended flute solo. Then, following a lengthy (and graphic) joke about his private parts, Burgundy proceeded to give Conan O’Brien some style advice.

“You look awful,” he said. “You look like someone put a bright, big fright wig on a skeleton and chucked it out of a helicopter. I’m being kind right now, okay?”

But he wasn’t primarily there to insult O’Brien, he said. Instead, he had important news about a future ‘Anchorman’ movie. “Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman.’ It is official: There will be a sequel to ‘Anchorman,’” he said.

‘Anchorman’ costars Paul Rudd and Steve Carrell are also expected to return. (No word on sports anchor Champ Kind or adorable pup Baxter will also come back.) What do you think? Are you excited about a sequel to Ferrell’s hit 2004 comedy?
