200 mile long lightning!

When I first read this story I thought surely this is a heavy metal video or something right? No my friend, this is science. So over the broad expanses of sky that cover Oklahoma, this 200-mile lightning bolt stretched across more open space than any of us have ever been able to see. Except for the astronauts that read this blog. This is simply Mother Nature saying "oh that's a really nice background picture you got there, check this out" - boom!
