Hollywood Veteran Joanna Cassidy Joins Guest Lineup
Actress Joanna Cassidy will appear at the Shreveport Convention Center to meet fans and sign autographs. Her career spans multiple decades with roles in some of the most recognized properties in science fiction and comedy.
Science fiction audiences recognize her as the replicant Zhora Salome from the 1982 film 'Blade Runner'. Her performance remains a central part of the Ridley Scott production. She also found he way into the Star Trek universe to really solidify her sci-fi credentials.
She later portrayed the waitress Dolores in the 1988 live action/animation hybrid 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'. Her character provided the grounded anchor for Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, and the literal cartoons included throughout the film.
Possibly her most well known role is one that no one really saw coming back in the day. This is something that the internet and millennial culture has really latched onto. During the 1990s, she starred as clothing executive Rose Lindsey in 'Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead'. This role established her status within the decade of comedy cinema, and remains a staple of television broadcasts.
The scene where she explains to Christina Applegate's lead what she needs her to say, "I'm right on top of that, Rose", when called on has turned into a staple of 90s millennial film references.
