Zohran Mamdani Driving 50 Cent Out? Shreveport Offers a Sweet Deal
Zohran Mamdani may have just given Shreveport one of its biggest wins, if what Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson just posted is anything to go by. The 318 is a great place for 50 Cent to make a permanent home, with new tax credits for G-Unit Studios, it's a no-brainer!
The Real draw for G-Unit Studios
50 Cent already has a rooting in Shreveport, having already signed a lease for a building in the city that will be made the new home of G-Unit Studios. The studio is a multimedia-focused company, though 50's focus on Shreveport seems to be on filming movies and TV.
One key reason G-Unit chose Shreveport over anywhere else was its location in Louisiana, granting the studio access to the state's new tax credits for movie productions. Taxes are the key reason why 50 Cent might find Shreveport his next home as well.
Why Mamdani's Win Could Send 50 to Shreveport
Recently, a New York City mayoral candidate made headlines as self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani defeated career politician Andrew Cuomo in a primary election. The label Socialist elicits a lot of different reactions depending on who you ask. If you ask 50, he'd say he would give him $258k and a one-way plane ticket out of NYC, because that's what he said on Instagram.
If Mamdani goes on to become the mayor of NYC, then 50 Cent has a haven with a sweet deal sitting right here in Shreveport, Louisiana.
P.S. Dear 50, next time you do Humor & Harmony, can you schedule it for fall? Just anytime that's not summer again.
